Merry Christmas and hope for a better 2021!

Really sad to say 2020 was a bad year. We can remember the war years of 1939 to 45,  and 1914 to 1918 the First World Wars that are closer to our Generation, because we heard of stories from our Fathers and Grandfathers who are probably for most of us, past away. But, we can take some good things,  even those who went to War, perhaps a few good memories from the incredible bad. Perhaps some lessons, perhaps we take some advice,  perhaps we take some reflection, or something. This was the year for myself, where everything fell apart. My books, the Coronavirus ( for all of us), and then other news which may not go our way not too close in the future. At any regard, no matter how hard things get,  we have to stay positive, keep the chin up, and be thankful for the gift of life, be thankful for friends, be thankful for every little thing that we sometimes take for granted. I want to wish you all, a Very, Merry, Christmas...

Choosing the wrong lane in life can lead you to zero pretty fast.

As you may have known, already,  my publisher has quit operations. There is no email, no response from a phone number,  nothing. It seems an investment of 12 000 dollars in total approximate dollars, has evaporated. Talk about a bad month.  Many ex authors who had their works published by this company,  have gotten together with legal counsel. I have the link to the facebook page,  but after being kicked off of facebook long long ago for advertising my books, it appears I am out of the loop again. As usual. Each book cost me approximately 3600 to publish, with E Book versions to boot. But it was all the extras,  that added up to approximately 12000 dollars US. Now that is all down the flush of a toilet. Word is, that many self publishing companies may fail. This company, apparently, from word on the street, was stealing book profits from their authors. I do not believe, personally, that my book sold enough copies, to have had any profit at all. I did see download sites,  where my book

Donald Trump won even though he may have lost?

Just a day or two before the elections,  I was watching Real Clear Politics and its polling,  with Biden at approx 50 % and Trump at 44 %.  Now, it appeared to be a steep curve for the 44 %, upwards. But, with the election so close,  it was too late to see,  if we had a few more days, to see the curve when it would have ended.   Mr. Trumps aggressive last debate, his criss crossing of the states he figured he needed to win, endless show of energy,  really was something to watch. Biden, his supporters, urging him to continue. Joe, you got to go! Keep on trucking, said many of his people. Obama campaigned with him at the end of the line also. Trumps energy was incredible. His message was strong and steady. Oil, fossil fuels, Biden will phase them out, and sign the Paris Accord. What would that mean for the USA. No coal fired plants after 2035. Maybe. We will see how that one goes. Trump carried the message, which Biden spilled out on the debate floor, not too long ago.  Also, the right

The Fall of a Humor Series - Publisher gone out of business perhaps...

I have been trying to get a hold of the publishing company,  for parts 1, 2 & 3 of  The Supermarket Guy. When the Supermarket Guy had been initially realized,  I had thought I had well thought out everything. I heard only good things about the publisher,  but it appears,  that maybe,  maybe,  they maybe out of business. Due to the Pandemic?  Due to an over competitive market?  Not sure. I cannot comment a great deal on it, but I have been hearing some bad news. So,  no website. No phone.  Maybe no address.  I did send out some messages,  but will see what happens. What does this mean for Part 5. Part 5 was exposed to be out a year ago,  as you all know. But, the bad luck I have been having,  with no revenues,  made in the series,  has put it on the backburner. Also,  lack of time in my busy personal life,  has put it on the shelf as well. I need to sort out this affair with the first 3 parts.  Part 4 is with Bookbaby,  so I am assuming that one is safe for now.  Anyone who has a p

The Edmonton Oilers glory years.

For myself,  being a huge,  Wayne Gretzky, Glen Anderson, Jari Kurri, Grant Fuhr, Mark Messier fan,  the Edmonton true glory years span at least over the years from 83 to 91.  In 1983,  they faced the stacked team of Mike Bossy and Brian Trottier, of the famous New York Islanders. I think also, the New York Islanders are a highly ranked team,  as the 76 Montreal Canadians also. Only in 1984,  did the Oilers successfully beat the hardened Veterans of the Islanders. And this team was only human. Losing in 86 to the Flames,  even with the mistake in the 7 th game of that Calgary series,  even some of the Oilers said,  they should have won that series in 5,  but the Flames were coming along with a high powered team of their own with Lanny MacDonald, Jim Peplinski, Gary Suter, Joel Otto and Dan Quinn. Then losing to the Los Angeles Kings in 89,  where Gretzky left and led the charge to beat the Oilers and end the chance for a three in a row cup sequence,  that would have led to number

Will part 5 ever be released?

Time still working against me in this universe. Sad, cause I thought I would have had time to review part 5 this time around.  I blame my lack of speed on covid 19,  a lack of ambition and family commitments.  Vacation, for some but I rather work and get things done...  will see this weekend  but money problems still  exist... Bye for now.  Those who have time to so what they want to so are truly lucky...  maybe my clock has run out...  till next  time ..

Fine tuning Part 5 update.

The fine tuning is going very well. I am glad I did not rush to publish this last year. Some finer points,  some expanded dialogue on the existing humor,  actually enhanced the humor,  expanded it as well. It is very difficult to publish something,  when there is zero return. It is truly addictive as a self published author,  to continue to put out books. There is nearly no reward, only luck at times,  if your product hits a bullseye at a certain time and place. I tried that with Part 4,  Fury of the Climate Changer.  I said in back then,  I would create a title , that is relevant today. And actually kind of has to do with climate change,  but in a different way. Even the cover shown allot of natural disasters, and what not,  all drawn out by myself personally. In retrospect,  even if the title did not hit,  I was satisfied with it. I personally loved it. The drawing as well for the front cover,  the art work,  personally extremely satisfied. So, then I ask,  what in the blazes

Fine Tuning Part 5

Since I have lots of time on my hands,  and no real income coming in from book sales,  I have been fine tuning # 5. It may take up 2 volumes,  and in between, I will have to decide where to start Volume 2 of Part 5. It is either,  I create two books out of one,  smaller of course,  or just leave it as is. Interesting.  Well, I rather do a volume one,  volume 2,  and split it up like some authors do as well. I will look into it more,  but if you have any suggestions out there on splitting books up into one,  or volumes, I would like to hear from you on here in the comment section. The book has allot more volume since I have been going through it again, adding even more humor, to the text and situations therein. I have been reinforcing the humor, so to speak. It is a heavyweight,  and I am not afraid to put it up against the best humor books in 2020 or 2021.  It can win. I am through 30 % of it,  will try to look at it some more when time permits,  edit and edit again,  check th
