The Dog begs for a little Christmas Turkey, and, why not...

And, the dog begs for some turkey for Christmas! Sure, he can have a few pieces! Cooked the turkey yesterday, from 10 am to 4 30 pm at 355 degrees ( it was thawed out overnight). A cup of water in the bottom of the pan before placing in the oven, stuffing the turkey as well. Then, I put the bacon on top, around 2 30 pm as to not get the bacon too over cooked. Many people, put, bacon all over the turkey on top, criss crossing it, and in many different ways. I just put two slices on top. Some, put it in between the skin and the meat on top, and, that is good also. The Stuffing, was Stove Top brand, as done per recipe directions, and I added bacon bits and cut up mushrooms in the stuffing. The stuffing was delicious. The gravy, I put in a few heaping teaspoons of cornstarch (with a little cold water,  mixing before adding) in the bottom of the pan, whisked it around, put it back to warm in the oven for 5 to 10 minutes, and the gravy formed itself in the bottom of the pan. Potatoes, carrots, turnips, and a can of Ocean Spray Cranberry sauce, went with the meal... Desert, Vachon Cake Christmas log!  No desert for me, just a cup of coffee with Tia Maria... And, that was the Christmas meal in Canada for me 😀
