Stuck in the Mud, cannot engage the 4 X 4 to get out.

 We all get stuck in the mud,  sometimes in our lifetimes.  Sometimes we get out by ourselves. Sometimes we get help from a not so surprising source,  sometimes a surprising hand. With Part 5,  I am stuck in the mud. Did not help that the mud level rose with the dissolution of my past publisher. Parts 1 through 3 are not available,  I should that on my site.  I believe only second hand books are now available on several sites throughout the world,  at perhaps high pricing.  But,  really,  what kind of sales I had in the past,  to warrant any kind of resolution to that problem.  I will start by changing the title to,  books 1 to 3 currently in a state of limbo, and not available in paperback or E book versions.  No doubt,  I have heard tell of thousands of people that got my book (s) ( maybe tens of thousands) off of pirated sites,  and had great reviews there.  That is something that is out there,  probably,  and do not have the resources to do much about that either.


If I had the revenue off of those pirated sites,  I would not be in this situation I am in to today,  and Part 5 would have been put out there.  Pirated stuff, of course a poor person,  I can let that slide,  but for rich people siphoning off of good work,  that should generate more work,  for the self published author,  is hard to stomach when we are struggling as it is to continue on a series like this....


There is not much empathy  to be found for most of us self published authors who fail to make a dinge in a sales market in fiction, non fiction, horror, sci fi,  and least of them all is humor.  So,  for now I put up this update that I am still stuck in the mud. Looking for a few pulley blocks, a good strong rope, and a tug from a heavy lifter to get me out of the mud.


For now, I wait for any changes. Sometimes changes do not happen for many years. Sometimes they come quickly. Seasons change again for Part 5,  perhaps.  Perhaps... Till next time.

Carbon tax. At first, the Canadian Federal Government, under the Liberals, unrolled a tax where 90 % of it was exposed to go back to the payers of the program.  Now, just that sentence alone. Think about it. 10 % going to schools, hospitals... I guess... And 90 % going back to the pocket that spent it... But, not your direct pocket. Not saying all of the provinces would have done it in the same way. At the first roll out, New Brunswick, the province in which I lived, just reduced the tax on gasoline to make up for the carbon tax increase. The feds said, no no, that is not right.. That is not what it is intended to be with this carbon tax.. So eventually, we may have gotten back one carbon tax check one year, and I truly forget. Now, far as I know, I never received a carbon tax cheque back to my pocket...  But I do know, of programs, that went to buy heatpumps for people under a certain income... Borador- labrador collie mix

 Borador, we got this pup in the fall of 2022, and was a dog that looked more like a black labrador when he was a pup. We got him around 4 to 5 months old, and was a biter. He loved to bite. He loved to eat rocks. You could take him for walks, and, he would start picking up rocks and chewing on them. Some, he swallowed. For sure, we tried to give him a treat, to get the rock out of his mouth before he swallowed some of them. We had to learn also, to take him on trails where there was no little rocks for him to chew or swallow. He would, puke them up, at night and it made us worry about him very much. Then winter came, froze the ground for 4 months or so. Good thing, as he forgot about picking up rocks as the winter passed and 2023 summer is here. He now, likes chasing and fetching sticks.  He did do messes in the house the first 2 months we had him at the house. He eventually, learned to go outside to do his things. They say you are more famous when you are dead.. lol...

 Have to see, and say, the viewership on this blog, has nearly tripled since its start in 2012 approximately. I went through a dry spell from 2014 to 2016, then a spike in 2017, then 2020 a short blip of a month or so, and finally the last 6 months of 2022 to today, I have been getting viewership spikes in the 1000s, outpacing my first 2012 by 3 times as many viewers. And, I have not been producing any books during this time, even creating anything. It is mostly from the USA, then France, Eastern European countries, Russia, and a few from Asia views. True what they say,  you are more famous when you are dead when you are a creator, than alive. I feel dead right now. I have nothing on the board to create, no focus or means to get Part 5 done. There is no release of anything to any publisher at this point in time. Strange how marketing goes. You take the famous Budweiser, with Spuds Mckenzie long ago.
